Book Binding Workshop

Date: March 16

Time: 5:00-8:00 PM (this is a 3 hour workshop)

Location: 3 Cups

Come familiarize yourselves with basic book binding

Participants will learn to design and create a hand bound 9x6 sketchbook or journal. You will learn to stitch your book together using an ancient Egyptian bookbinding style called coptic stitch, Dimensions and sew pattern are predetermined - the rest is up to your creativity.

In the end, participants will leave with one pamphlet-stitch booklet and one 48 page coptic stitch hardbound journal as well as step-by-step instructions so that you can create these again from scratch

*Some students may require more time to complete the project, especially those designing highly custom pieces. Instructor will give personal contact information to all students to ensure all projects are completed.

Hannah majored in art with an emphasis in Graphic Design. Since graduating in 2015, she has been working in the fine art and graphic design world, doing everything from painting portraits to full branding and design. She spends her time learning new art and taking classes.
